Christmas Cheer at PDS as £1,936 is Raised for Local Hospice

Cheque-photoOver the years PDS has been very involved in local charity, Springhill Hospice. PDS have always been big supporters of the hospice however towards the end of 2015 they really got into the Christmas spirit raising a massive £1,936.55 for the cause.

PDS join in fundraising events for the hospice on a regular basis and on occasion they even host their own fundraising campaigns, recently raising over £11,000 by taking part in the Granfondo Stelvio Santini. This Christmas’ efforts however where really grasped by the company in its entirety and a brilliant £1,936.55 was raised through participation in the Santa Dash and Dawdle, sponsorship for the Santa Dash and Dawdle, joining in the Hospice Raffle, as well as conducting their own in house Christmas raffle. All funds raised were donated straight to the hospice.

The hospice is a part of PDS’ culture as a whole, as well as personally touching the hearts of many of its employees. Acting as a kind of sanctuary within the local community, Springhill Hospice offers help and support to those with life limiting illnesses and their families. Former MD Tim Fairley initiated a bond with the Hospice in 2015 by joining PDS and Springhill Hospice as business buddies. This is set to continue into 2016 with PDS’ Site Director, Mike Bratt, who commented ‘the excellent work conducted by the PDS business to support the local community over the years is a credit to each and every one of its employees. It is the passion as a local business that makes PDS what it is today and will remain for many years to come, as will our focus on worthy causes’

PDS look forward to see what prospects the New Year brings and are keen to continue their fundraising efforts into 2016 aiming to raise even more money for this fantastic cause.
