Emergency exit locking systems consist of a lock and the furniture set. They are intended to guarantee that in case of risk the emergency exit door can be released and opened by only one action, no matter whether the door is locked or only closed on the latch.

An emergency exit lock must ensure that the door can be opened from the inside with aflick of the wrist within one second by turning the handle downwards.

Tested anti-panic door locking systems according to DIN EN 1125 with horizontal panic bar

According to the construction requirements an anti-panic door locking system must be designed in such away that it will release the door immediately, if the panic bar actuated at any point from the inside towards the escape direction.

The operating forces required forthis purpose must be calculated for such avalue thateven children ordisabled persons can operate the panic bar instantly by turning down the handle towards the escape direction.
